Dr. Alice Ahlem OTHMANI was born in Tunisia in 1986. She received the B.S. degree in 2009 from the Higher School of Sciences and Techniques of Tunis (ESSTT), the M.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Paris Descartes (Paris V) in 2010 and the Ph.D. in 2014 from the University of Burgundy.
From september 2014 to september 2015, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the medical University of Clermont-Ferrand and since september 2016, she is postdoctoral researcher at the École Normale Supérieure in the bioinformatics analysis team.
Her research interests include : image processing, pattern recognition and machine learning . She’s very keen to tackle fundamental and applied problems so that research results have impact on diverse real-life application domains with a big interest to biomedical applications.
She is also passionate about teaching and new models for education and research. Therefore, she was a Temporary Lecturer and Research Assistant at the university of Burgundy in 2014 and in addition, she has supervised master students thesis and reviewed in several conferences and journals like IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing letters and Forests Journal. Also, she tries to get involved in the French community of image processing researchers, the reason why she is a member of the GDR ISIS (http://gdr-isis.fr/)and GDR MIV (http://gdr-miv.fr/).
